The H.264 format
This H.264 format is an industry standard in the video production business for Adobe After Effects, and many short films. Basically all sorts of movie making video work, in fact. The lack of having to convert the format to include the recorded video clips, in film editing or video track paste in, will be seen by evidence collection and other film makers as a time and money saver. As with all other film work, a small portable device is a blessing.
Outstanding product features but unusual recording format
The recording is done in a very unusual format. The only way to read the files is through special program sent on the CD with the purchase of the DVR. The software on the CD is not flexible for editing or changing the file format. It takes a lot of unnecessary time and frustration. Besides that the product features are outstanding.
