Supercircuits’ Custom Vehicle Surveillance Solutions Continues to Help DPD Fight Crime
Burglary of Motor Vehicles (BMV) and Unauthorized Use of Vehicles (UUV) has been a widespread problem for the City of Dallas, and the Dallas Police Department (DPD).
According to FBI reporting, there were an estimated 721, 053 thefts of motor vehicles nationwide in 2012. The estimated rate of motor vehicle thefts was 229.7 per 100,000 inhabitants.
DPD needed an effective security solution to help fight vehicle property crime on city streets. Since 2013, Supercircuits covert vehicle surveillance solutions have helped the department with their crime-fighting mission.
Supercircuits designed and engineered custom covert vehicle surveillance solutions equipped with the latest technology, and provided a comprehensive set of services, hardware and support to enhance the city’s bait vehicle program for the DPD.
After implementation of the Supercircuits system into the Dallas PD bait vehicle program, along with the services SC provided, the department has nearly doubled the number of Burglary of Motor Vehicle and Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle convictions since 2013.
Since deployment of the Supercircuits bait vehicle solution, the Dallas Police Department has been thrilled with the program, and the results—which have led to an impressive increase in arrests. In fact, they are looking to expand this crime-fighting initiative over the next few years to include more bait vehicles to deploy throughout the city.
