How license plate recognition works: headlights and other bright lights can distort and obscure the viewing area in night time applications. Headlight suppression (known as HSBLC) masks the bright white areas of an image making it easier to see every detail.
Headlight suppression is perfect for applications such as license plate recognition. HSBLC works in conjunction with the built-in wide dynamic range (WDR) to digitally mask the headlights, reduce glare, and provide a better image of the license plate.
