Camera Features and Capabilities
Infrared (IR) – Infrared (IR) cameras feature built-in illuminators that project infrared light, which is nearly invisible to the human eye but very visible to IR surveillance cameras. This technology allows you to capture crystal clear, black and white video of suspects who feel protected by complete darkness.
IR cameras are very effective in covering targeted areas with little or no light, ranging from exterior parking areas and entryways, to interior rooms requiring 24 hour surveillance. For coverage of wider areas, consider adding an additional external infrared illuminator.
Digital Day/Night – Digital day/night (also referred to as electronic day/night) improves low light sensitivity, delivers a sharper image in low light conditions, and enables the camera to see in the dark without the help of external IR illuminators.
Unlike true day/night cameras, which use a mechanical filter, the camera electronically adjusts colors during the day instead of using an infrared filter. This allows the digital day/night cameras to deliver similar benefits of true day/night cameras, but at a lower cost. Without the need for a physical filter, digital day/night technology can be leveraged for smaller form factors, such as bullet cameras.
DVR Features and Capabilities
Channels – This 4 channel DVR allows you to record and view up to 4 video cameras simultaneously.
Easy Scheduler – Featuring an intuitive interface, it’s easy to schedule the most simple or complicated weekly recording plans. Record continuously during business hours, and switch to motion detection at night – you have complete control.
Individual Channel Configuration – Individual channel configuration allows you to adjust the color, frame rate, quality, motion detection and recording schedule for each camera being recorded by your DVR. This allows you to optimize your system by allocating system resources to your most important coverage areas without wasting valuable hard drive space or DVR horsepower (FPS, resolution) on the cameras that you don’t care about, You have complete control.
Loss Detection – The automatic video loss detection feature allows you to program your DVR to alert you in the event of a lost camera signal – due to power failure, inclement weather, cut cables or other criminal activity. This event can trigger a recording with other cameras, sirens, lights, or other external devices.
H.264 Compression – H.264 is a stable, proven and widely used compression technology, offering unbeatable recording picture quality and a small compression ratio that saves valuable hard drive storage space (5-10 times smaller than MPEG4).
Motion Detection – The DVR's motion detection feature allows user to pre-define motion detection zones and sensitivity for each individual camera. When motion is detected by the DVR, this will trigger a pre-programmed event — usually recording — or can activate an external device, such as an alarm. The primary benefit is that you record only relevant video, not taking up enormous amounts of hard drive space, and only recording when there is motion in areas you care about. This also saves you from looking thru countless hours of useless video where nothing is happening — instead, you can quickly scan thru the captured activity in the pre-defined area of coverage.
Overwrite Protection – This optional feature protects your valuable video and audio files from being overwritten by the DVR. The DVR can also be pre-programmed to overwrite when the hard drive is full, which is commonly used for continuous record applications.
QuadPlex Operation – Quadplex operation enables simultaneous live, recording, playback, backup and allowing you to view your DVR locally or via network without stopping recording.
Pre-Alarm Recording – Pre-alarm recording allows your DVR to constantly save a pre-defined length of buffered video, and only record that video when motion is sensed, so that you capture all events leading up to an incident. This feature typically works in combination with your motion detection feature — and is especially powerful when defining a smaller motion detection zone within your camera’s field of view.
Recording – This DVR features real-time video recording at 120 FPS @ 352x240 or 60 FPS @ 720x480. This allows you to select either seamless full-motion recording or recording at higher resolutions, which is more important to you.
Video Management – The DVR features several video management tools, including a powerful event search function – via manual search, schedule, motion, sensor, network, or all. This enables your DVR to automatically create a list of events captured by your system — so that you can easily navigate to each event, or look for events within a particular time frame and quickly replay the video. Needless to say, this save you valuable time – especially when the suspect is still making his escape.
Video Output – This DVR features selectable video output via BNC and VGA, and is compatible with security or pc-based monitors.

Configuration Set-up – The configuration data copy feature allows you to set up one camera, and quickly apply that setup to other channels, saving you valuable time upon installation.
Configuration Export – The configuration file export/import feature allows for the easy installation of multiple DVRs with the same configuration (cloning) — simply install and set up one DVR, then export the configuration file to another. This insures consistent setup of multiple DVRs in a security system, and saves valuable installation time.

Digital Video Recorder
Our DVRs feature the latest in H.264 compression technology — which allows you to record higher quality video using up to 75% less hard drive space than MPEG-4 or JPEG compression, and delivers faster transmission speeds. All models are networkable for remote viewing and provide easy options to off-load your video evidence when crime occurs. Unlike standard hard drives, our security-grade hard drives are specifically designed for continuous operation.
Monitor
Systems with a monitor include a security-grade, high resolution LCD monitor. These flat screens feature a rugged metal construction for increased durability, built-in audio speakers, multiple inputs for the ultimate flexibility, and resolutions starting at 1280 × 1024 for crisp lines and images.
Cabling
All of our systems come complete with all-in-one video/power camera cables. These cables are pre-terminated with the connectors you need, which means they are plug-and-play, right out of the box. As an option, we also make bulk cabling and connector kits that allow you to custom cut your own cable length.
Power Options
Many of our professional customers prefer to upgrade their power supplies with a multi-camera power supply, which requires only one power outlet. This makes using a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) power back-up easy and also provides for a clean, neat installation. However, the majority of our customers stick with the packaged solution, given the ease of installation, and there is no impact on your system's performance.

Installation is simple — if you can connect a DVD player to a television, then you can install your own video security system. To help you along the way, we provide easy installation guides that give you valuable ways to get the most value out of your system. Once your system is installed, you have the peace of mind that your property is protected with the added advantage of no recurring monthly subscription fees.
